The founding fathers of this nation broke away from England because they wanted to create a country in which they were free to worship their God in their own way. Faith and worship are very personal components of a person's life that should not be dictated by the government. I will work to protect our religious liberties.
The founding fathers also knew that there would always be a possibility of a government gone rouge against the people they were supposed to protect, so they wrote into our constitution the 2nd Amendment which gave the American people the right to bear arms against that government should that time arise. I believe that people should have the right to protect themselves, their families and what they work hard for. As a man, it is our God given right and duty and I will vote to protect the 2nd amendment.
If you will help me go to Springfield, I will vote for tax bills that are affordable for all tax paying citizens. I believe that all elderly by the age of 70 should be tax exempt. They should not have to pay into the education system once all of their children are grown. Non-cititzens should pay more taxes than citizens. They should not reap the benefits of money they did not work for. I will work to make sure Illinois has a fair tax system.
When there is moral rot within a nation, its' government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability. (Prov. 28:2 NLT)
